About Me

Just to be all clear here, I hate this “About Me” page. But here it goes…

For those of you who don't know me, I was born and raised in Ontario. I am the second oldest in my family and I have four sisters and one brother… likely most of you by now are going “that poor boy”. Hey, he stands up for himself pretty good. I also have two of the most amazing parents and they understand me more than what I know.

As you may have guessed(or maybe you know), we have a crazy house. We live, we laugh, we cry, we tease, we sing, and love each other like crazy. I love my family and they are the most important thing to me, after God.

I was raised, for most of my life in a Mennonite Church, but at the age of seventeen we left choosing rather to uphold the name of Christ then to promote a name of a man. At this time in my life as a small Church, a family and personally we focused at taking more time to study God's Word and discovering what a Christian Church looks like in the 21st Century. These things became my prayer and my burden as I matured in my personal walk with Jesus Christ.

At that age I had lots of questions and believe it or not I still have lots of questions, but discovering what I believe, why I believe what I do helped me know that even if I still have questions I always know where to find the answers.

A couple months ago God impressed on my heart the need for me to study His Word more. This has been a journey, as I try to find more time in my busy schedule to sit down and study. I have done word studies(which I love); I have studied passages of Scripture and discovered many new things.

This blog started out as the next step in that journey, a step of reaching out; a step of faith; a step of serving, and a step of sharing what God has laid on my heart.

I don’t promise that I have everything figured out; in fact I know I don’t.

I don’t promise that these posts will be without mistakes.

I don’t promise that you are always going to agree with me.

But my prayer is that as you read this blog and as you pray to God that you will be encouraged to walk closer and closer to Jesus Christ everyday.
